Troop 23 is committed to the concept of active, hands-on " learning by doing!" As such, you can expect to be highly active, both physically and mentally, and all the while, having fun!
Troop leadership is committed to keeping scouts and volunteer leaders both physically and psychologically safe during all activities. The BSA Youth Protection Program is strictly adhered to and all activities are carefully considered to assure the highest degree of safety is maintained.
Troop 23 realizes that youth require some degree of independence in their lives. As such, we consistently encourage and support Scouts with advancement and holding leadership roles, while allowing each Scout the freedom to choose the ways in and the degree to which they engage with the Troop and its many activities.
From involvement in formal leadership, Troop Committee membership, coordination of various activities to support the Troop to informal involvement through attending activities such as camping, Courts of Honor, and social gatherings, we ask for family members to become actively engaged with us.
